Central Asia in focus. No. 1 (December, 2011)

The quarterly informational and analytical bulletin “Central Asia in Focus”, published under the project “Conflict Prevention in Central Asia: Effective Partnership and Capacity Building through the Media” with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway, contains the most comprehensive information on the project’s activities in the region ( round tables, public discussions, trainings), as well as the most interesting and resonant analytical publications published on the IWPR website. The main topics covered in the project materials are a wide range of issues in the field of conflict resolution, as well as the problems of women and youth of Central Asian countries. The visual component of the newsletter in the form of bright high-quality photographs supplements the analytical information. The ballot recipients are employees of government agencies, human rights NGOs and media organizations in three countries of the region (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan), as well as independent human rights activists from Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
