History-based research: journalistic investigative guide for journalists

The edition of Journalistic Investigations study guide “History-Based Research” was published by the Institute for War and Peace Reporting (IWPR) as part of the project “Building Investigative Journalism Practices to Promote Democratic Reforms: Engaging Between Human Rights Organizations, Government Institutions, and the Media” with the financial support of the European Union and the Government of Norway. The project aims to increase the capacity of independent media to conduct journalistic investigations on various topics related to human rights violations. This manual is a useful and relevant resource for Central Asian journalists to develop their skills in investigative journalism. For the first time, the guide “Story-based inquiry: manualforinvestigativejournalists” was published in English by UNESCO in 2011. You can download the publication at the following links:
