From 15 to 21 April 2019 CABAR.asia analytical platform, with the support of the Institute for War and Peace Reporting in Central Asia and the OSCE Academy in Bishkek, organized the Second Program for young experts from Central Asia within its School of Analytics. Young analysts and journalists from Kazakstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan have discussed challenges and trends in their countries in 2019 at a three-day meeting, held a regional meeting on the quality of analytics and water and energy issues in the region, and also have improved their skills of writing analytic materials and visualisation.
June 2018 CABAR.asia School of Analytical Journalism of continues to yield results. Over the past 4 months School alumni conducted series of trainings in their home cities and shared new knowledge and experience.
Experts emphasise the need for close cooperation between media and non-governmental sector for effective resolution of social problems.

On June 18-27, IWPR Central Asia in collaboration with OSCE Academy in Bishkek with financial support of the government of Norway, conducted a summer school on analytical and investigative journalism. 28 journalists from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan participated in this School. The participants share their impressions about the trainings.
