IWPR Georgia hosts a webinar on the topic “Video editing on a smartphone”. Do not miss!

The representative office of the Institute for War and Peace Reporting (IWPR) in Georgia invites you to a webinar where you can familiarize yourself with the basic principles and practice of professional video editing on an Android or iOS smartphone.

The webinar will be held on April 22, 2020 at 18:00 in time in Bishkek and Nur-Sultan (at 17:00 in Tashkent and Dushanbe)

The following topics will be covered during the webinar:

  • Introduction to visual “grammar” of editing;
  • Demonstration of a popular video editing application;
  • Frame sizes, gluing and transitions;
  • Effective sound editing;
  • Export of video editing;
  • Internet resources.

To participate in the webinar, you need to fill out a short form to help plan the webinar according to your needs, as well as download the free version of the Kinemaster application (available for iOS and Android) to your phone and familiarize yourself with the interface and basic functions.

About the trainer: Chris But has been working in creating multimedia content for over 25 years. He was in Russia for ten years and was the head of the BBC’s bureau in Moscow and then in Baghdad, and also held senior positions in the news department of the BBC World Service. Most recently, Chris worked as the head of visual communications at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, before starting a career in media education and freelance production.
