What will you learn?
In the first module, you will learn about the basic concepts of journalism in the social media era, and the so-called principle of “liquid media” in working with social media.
In this module, the authors will tell you what to pay attention to when writing for digital platforms, what role each media employee should play in working with social media, and where the responsibility of a journalist begins and ends.
The third module will discuss the platforms’ features and native content for social media. You will find out why you should not post only links on social media, what is meme journalism, and what formats can be used in social media.
In this module, you will consider social media as a tool for creating a community and communicating information, as well as tone for communicating with subscribers on different social media, and posts’ design.
This module continues exploring the topic of building an active community. The authors will tell you how to make the audience communicate on their own, including work with comments and user-generated content.
The final module of the course focuses on social media performance assessment and digital platform strategies.
