Shifting Democracies Reporting Fellowship for Women Journalists (Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan)

Global Press is accepting applications for the two-year Shifting Democracies Reporting Fellowship programme. The fellowship is open to women reporters with at least 5 years of experience (Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan).

This year, Global Press is focusing on covering the least covered regions and creating more opportunities for female journalists around the world to get the training they need and get the chance to publish important stories.

The Global Press’ Shifting Democracies Fellowship is a global initiative that will delve into the changing governance structures in 15 eligible countries  and their interconnectedness, significantly impacting the world.

As a fellow, you will:

  • Leverage your access to stories and sources as a local reporter living in the community you report on.
  • Collaborate with a global team of reporters and editors to draw connections across borders.
  • Participate in advanced skills training and development.
Applications are due Nov. 8, 2024, before 11:59 p.m. EST
