Description of the course
This course focuses on business process automation. The key goal of the course is to provide basic knowledge and understanding of business automation features. The course will help to learn the basics of automation and introduce you to the most universal process for implementing automated solutions in real projects. Special attention will be paid to analyzing the most common mistakes teams make during implementation as well as receiving a checklist that will help to avoid them.
This course will help:
- Learn what automation is and what problems it solves
- Determine when and what to automate for maximum efficiency
- Set realistic expectations regarding the financial, time, and human resources needed to implement automation
- Get acquainted with the most popular services for marketing, management, finance, and analytics optimization
- Understand what parts of the business can never be automated
Course audience
The course is intended for aspiring entrepreneurs, owners of small and medium-sized businesses, managers and private practitioners representing services and goods in Central Asia
Course format:
The course consists of three blocks and is designed for 3 weeks of study. The weekly workload of students in the course is 2-3 hours (depending on the complexity of the section and practical tasks). The course consists of short video lectures with transcripts, demo videos, textual information, handouts, and independent tasks. As part of the course, you will be presented with real-life cases that have been solved by implementing automation. The course contains an 80% final test. You have 10 attempts to pass the test. If the limit of attempts is exhausted, the system is blocked and you need to register for the course again. In this regard, we strongly advise participants to re-familiarize themselves with the course materials provided, in case of the first unsuccessful attempts to pass the test tasks. If you wish, you can take the course again four times.
The course was developed as part of the "Go Viral" project of the Institute for War and Peace Reporting in Central Asia in cooperation with IT Academy. The course materials are hosted on the media school platform and will only be available to participants who have registered for the course. All courses created within the framework of the project are the property of IWPR CA and may be used for other projects, at the discretion of IWPR CA.
