The Fundamentals of Film Production

This module presents an introduction to the philosophy of producing and the importance of the producer in film production. You will analyze the stereotypes about the profession in our society and examine the professional tasks as well as skills of a producer. The course material will also tell you what types of producers exist in the hierarchy of film production (the lesson is only available on Russian language)

The second module aims to give practical advice to potential and aspiring producers on how to get into the industry as well as how to effectively take the first steps. You will look at possible production scenarios - both from scratch and with an idea/script in place, along with a breakdown of potential financing strategies. It also includes an overview of film budgeting and the components of an investment package (the lesson is only available on Russian language)

This module will introduce you to tips on what to avoid in production, as well as examining some aspects of the film industry that are valuable for the modern producer to consider when planning a project (the lesson is only available on Russian language)
